Argument for God from Mathematics

"The mathematical truths which you call eternal have been laid down by God and depend on him entirely no less than the rest of his creatures. .... Please do not hesitate to assert and proclaim everywhere that it is God who has laid down these laws (mathematical laws) in nature, just as a king llays down laws in his kingdom".
 - Rene Descarte, French Mathematician, Philosopher and Father of Rationalism.

Parenthetical inclusion (mathematical laws) for emphasis mine.

            1. Mathematical truths are eternal and unchanging.
Example: 7+3 = 10 is an unchanging and eternal truth.

"But 3 and 7 make 10 not only now, but for ever."
                                                                                    St. Augustine of Hippo.

            2. Eternal truths (ideas) originate from an eternal mind

            3. This eternal mind is God.

            4. Therefore God exists.
