Lungi - the people's dress

In south India and in many other parts of India and south east asia , people wear lungi's instead of shorts. Lungi is the costume of the masses ,but is used mostly  indoors, though the have-nots use it everywhere.

Lungi unlike shorts gives both covering and freedom. It is the ultimate comfort dress in summer , when all you need is a lungi to sleep freely and also safely.

Lungi can be used in multiple ways.Not long ago, I used it as a picnic cloth ,once as a towel and many times as a bedsheet.

Lungi's should be made the national dress of India as it is worn by many people in the country.
