The focused life is essential considering the fact that we are living in the midst of distractions. No other generation had so many competing distractions, which are presented as attractions. Hedonism and media distract our attention, pollute our mind and incline our will to follow them. This is Spiritual seduction. The kingdom of darkness is relentless in attacking the Church and preserving it's fortress. But it is not invincible.
