Religious Prejudice Exposed and Answered
Objector : Caste system was a social evil condemned by great hindu saints such as shankara charya. There are lot of passages against discrimination in hindu texts. Newly converted xtians need a stupid excuse to rationalize their change of faith. And they select the caste system. When India had caste system, the west and east had the institution of slavery, which was far more inhuman. The way haters of india present the selective evidence is always amusing.
Christian Response:
In the Bhagavad Gita, Ch.4, Verse 13 The Lord says: "The fourfold caste has been created by Me according to the differentiation of Guna and Karma;" In the Bhagavad Gita, Ch.18, verse 40 the Lord says: "There is no being on earth, or again in heaven among the gods, that is liberated from the three qualities born of Nature." Gita Ch. 18, V.41: "Of Brahmanas, Kshtriyas and Vaishyas, as also the Sudras, O Arjuna, the duties are distributed according to the qualities born of their own nature." So Caste system has it's origin in the hindu scriptures. It is originated ,supported and sustained by religion.
Slavery was instituted nor taught by Christ. It was a Christian Politician , William Wilberforce , who fought for the abolition of slavery and accomplished it in England. It was William carey , who worked with Raja Ram Mohan roy for the abolition of sati.
Even Ambedkar , converted to Buddhism because of the caste system. So it's not just the christian converts who are finding a reason in caste system for their conversion. Even Gautama Buddha , rejected the hindu system in order to start his own which was not based on discrimination. So again,it's just not the christian converts who are doing it.
Hindus /Muslims /Sikhs/Buddhist who became Christians have a reason for their conversion. It is a very personal one. There was a great longing within them which was met by Christ and that experience led them to accept Christ and his teachings.
The reason why BJP/RSS and other Hindu parties object to conversion and are against it is because they will lose their vote bank if a lot of people become christians. But the fact of history is that , the more the Christian faith was oppressed , the more it grew .The more it was persecuted , the more it grew.

There are many religions and teachers and teachings in which man will fall and keep falling.Only in Christ can man find the truth about God and life.
